Bappebti licenses Indonesia's local forex brokers and blocks the rest.

Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi (Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency) · est. 1999

Bappebti, under the Ministry of Trade, licenses Indonesian futures brokers (pialang berjangka) that offer forex and gold through the Jakarta Futures Exchange and ICDX, with client money held through those exchanges' clearing houses. Offshore brokers serving Indonesians are not Bappebti-licensed, and Bappebti regularly blocks their websites. Supervision of financial derivatives is moving to OJK under UU P2SK.
