Belize's International Financial Services Commission, now renamed the Financial Services Commission, licenses firms trading in financial and commodity-based derivatives. Brokers use the licence for clients outside stricter jurisdictions, often with very high leverage. There is no investor compensation scheme, so an IFSC badge tells you the entity exists, not that your money is protected.
